Best Detox Diet Review
Illumination Herbal Blend

Which is the best detox diet I have discovered so far? This all-round herbal cleansing blend is extracted from herbs from the Amazon forest, and uses a unique whole-herb process.

Illumination is not marketed as an herbal detox tea, but once you examine the ingredients, you will see that it makes one of the best detox teas around.

Surprisingly, the company markets its other products as detoxifying formulas, and does not see its strongest asset in Illumination.

Who Is Amazon Herb?

The company was started by John Easterling in the late 1980s.  He learned about herbs in the Amazon jungle from Nicole Maxwell, one of the original pioneers in the field.

Easterling developed relationships with jungle tribes who taught him. He soon began to develop herbal formulas that addressed major health issues. These herbal combinations have been used by indigenous people of the Amazon jungle for thousands of years for health, strength and stamina.

A team of health care practitioners helped Easterling in his early efforts to perfect the herbal blend.

The Amazon Rainforest is the richest concentration of life energy on our planet, and the botanicals in Amazon Herb formulas are not altered or fractionated like other supplements on the market.

The company’s mission is to maintain the integrity and life force of the plant just as nature intended it to be. This is accomplished with a whole-herb extraction method called spagyric processing.

Spagyric Processing

According to Dr. Jack Hinze, who perfected this technique, spagyric processing is different from commercial extraction because it extracts all of the plant's natural therapeutic compounds including the trace elements, glycosides, alkaloids, polysaccharides and essential oils.

To quote him:

Other extraction processes make a percolation, like a tea, and then the plant material, or mark, is thrown away.

We know the mark contains numerous quantities of medicinal and nutritional properties, including glycosides, which are very medicinal in themselves, and trace minerals which are locked up in the matrix, the cellulite, and cannot be released via water or alcohol extraction, and are lost in those processes.

In our process, depending on the botanical, the plant is put through multiple extractions, water, alcohol, combination of both - in the right order for that particular plant. Then the mark is put through a process that liquefies it. In other words, what is left in your tea bag turns into a liquid.

At that point we have released from that cellulose, from that matrix, all the trace minerals and trapped glycosides. Those are really key because most botanicals, most herbals, work primarily by their ability to provide large amounts of trace minerals.

What you actually have is a plant that has been completely liquefied.

Best Detox Diet?

I regard Illumination as the best detox diet aid I have tried for two reasons.

First, herbally speaking, it is the closest thing to a stand-alone formula. This herbal blend works on detoxifying and supporting several parts of the body simultaneously.

(The disadvantage is that you may need an additional formula for colon detox. And if you are new to herbal detox, you may want to start slowly. However, these two points are fairly minor if you know what you are doing.)

Which colon cleanser to use?

As an herbalist, I don't usually recommend colon cleanse formulas that can be made as tea, primarily because they are usually bitter!

If you really feel that you must drink something that will work on cleansing the colon and want to start out slowly and gently, I recommend George's Distilled Aloe Vera. It tastes like water and you can easily drink 2 to 3 oz. with every meal.

The medicinal constituents in aloe vera work directly on the smooth muscles in the colon and do so gently.

One of the best ways to cleanse the colon is by simply taking a capsule of an herbal colon cleanser with each meal. By doing this, it's easy for the colon to 'get the message' to move after every meal.

Second, unlike the other mass-produced herbal detox teas in the market, Illumination contains high quality extract rather than low quality teabags made from the leftover leaf cut.

My Experience

Personally, I found after getting used to the taste, the herbs have few side effects. They are energetically balanced, grown according to the moon cycles, and use other principles of old time herbology that other companies do not take into consideration.

The tea is easy to brew. Simply pour the liquid into warm water and drink.

After I had been using this product for a while, the company turned itself into a network-marketing company, which makes buying more inconvenient.

If you are interested, I suggest you resist the temptation to join as a member, and try out with just one 8-ounce bottle. One bottle lasts me 2-3 months, so it can be cost-effective.

So, Illuminataion gets my vote as the best detox diet.
