Benefits of Green Tea
by: Anonymous

I've just recently started drinking green tea again. I don't like soda, juice drinks or juice - I think they're mostly junk, no matter what they say.

I wondered sometimes if just "any" green tea was fine for drinking. I have only heard of the benefits and do not have time to do research. I came across Twinings (decaf) and have now been drinking it for a week or so.

Did I do right by it or are there others more advisable to buy/drink?

I was never much of a tea drinker, but just the idea that it's supposed to do wonders makes me do. I like it, anyway.

Which Green Tea?
by: Julian

Which type of green tea you drink is really a matter of personal taste. But some green tea contains more health benefits than others, notably those which are made from younger tea shoots, which have been known for centuries to be of higher grade.

This article reviews the different types of green tea available, and which type may contain more antioxidants the the others.

I hope it will help in your search for high quality tea.

Twinning
by: Anonymous,

I have been drinking twinings green tea for nearly two months now, and I have also been on a low fat diet along with it. I lost nearly a stone in weight in 6 weeks, and I have seen my skin, hair, and apperance change in general.

I feel it helps me keep healthy while dieting
also the fact that it helps you burn calories faster, I recommend this to anyone.

I drink different types but my favorite is twinings green tea with crambury and elder flower. It looks like cranbury and both have antioxidants which is even better for your health.

Some people probably wouldn't like the taste but you do get used to it.

Aha!
by: Clara

This is an excerpt from http://www.twinings.ca/template.php?id=health-benefits.

"Combat free radicals - Tea is an ideal source of antioxidants, which naturally help protect the body against the damaging effects of free radicals."

The website clearly states that there is antioxidants in tea. I would assume you had checked the website for any evidence of this.

Yes, it's true
by: Anonymous

Yes, any tea is good for your body, I tried the Hojicha tea which has less caffeine but I switch back to Twinings Jasmine Green Tea because according to studies it has more anti-oxidant than other kind of teas.

Bottomline, green tea has been around for thousand of years and surely it will not last that long if it not gives mankind any benefit.
