Green Tea and Heart Rate

My husband had two valves replaced and was advised not to drink green tea, due to an increase in heart rate.

Is this true?

Thanks.

Answer:

Hey, green tea contains caffeine - so drinking it will increase heart rate. This is something your husband should watch out for.

On the other hand, drinking green tea may have other heart benefits - which may or may not be appropriate for your husband, depending on your doctor advice.

Some of the key benefits are listed here.

Since your husband has a medical condition, it is best to listen to your doctor advice.

I hope this helps.
