My Earl Grey Tea Story Grow Fonder...

Earl Grey Tea has always been my favorite tea. When I was a teenager my mother traveled to Europe and returned with a tin of Earl Grey Tea. I immediately turned up my nose and declared how can you drink it there’s no bag.

Mom calmly brewed a pot of Earl Grey and served it in the Brown Betty tea pot she had also returned with. Upon sipping my first cup I was hooked.

Just last week I sat down with my mom and two young daughters and served a pot of Earl Grey. As we joined around the table my mom began to recall how it was her grandfather who called her into his small country kitchen and introduced her to tea. She then poured tea for the children, stirred in a small spoonful of sugar and said “this is the way your great-great grandpa taught me to love tea.”
