Isn't this amazing? Just a tiny amount of green tea buds (say 2-3 grams) taken mid morning (which is I what I do when I start work) and steeped over three glasses, can have so many amazing health effects?
What health benefits? You might ask.
I have written much about green tea health benefits in the past ten years. Today, I will add one more.
I have spoken to you about the six weight loss benefits associated with green tea:
1. Boost metabolism
2. Burn fat
3. Prevent fat storage
4. Block dietary fat absorption
5. Reduce food craving
6. Regulate sugar uptake
The synergistic effects of the three tea compounds - theanine, antioxidants and caffeine - keep you gently energized all day long.
Concerned that you might be eating too much fatty food?
Don't worry. Green tea helps the body block fat absorption, prevent fat storage and burn fat. Some scientific study has found that tea helps burn belly fat - which is a particular harmful form of fat associated with higher disease rate.
Concerned about sugar intake?
Don't worry. Green tea helps reduce food craving and
regulate sugar intake.

Eight Ways Green Tea Can Help Lose Weight
If that is not enough, a 2019 study brought another surprise: green tea improves gut health - which in turn could help you lose weight.
A 2019 study by Ohio State University found that drinking green tea encourages the growth of good gut bacteria that could significantly lower the risk of obesity.
The benefits seen in this new study, published in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, appear to stem from improved gut health, including more beneficial microbes in the intestines of the mice and less permeability in the intestinal wall – a condition typically called “leaky gut” in people.
Negative changes in the gut microbiome have been previously linked to obesity, and green tea has been shown to
promote healthy bacteria.
The researchers also found that the green tea appeared to contribute to a healthier microbial community in the guts of the mice fed a high-fat diet.

Green Tea, Osteoporosis and Fracture
Scientific studies have consistently found that drinking tea promotes bone growth and reduce osteoporosis risk.
But evidences have been patchy to date as most studies are small scale.
A recent Chinese study that performs meta-analysis of 16 studies concluded that "tea consumption may be associated with a reduced risk of fractures."
The researchers queried PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase databases for relevant studies through March 2019. The final analysis encompassed data on
772,707 total patients and 37,166 fracture cases.

I Need Your Feedback!
We have nearly 800 customer reviews in the tea shop. You'll find them in the product pages. We are one happy tea community - but there is a problem.
That problem is me. Due to my lack of marketing, the business is running down and it could conceivably shut in a few years' time. I'll do my best to keep it going, offering more and better teas at reasonable prices, but I need your help!
If you are (or not) happy with my teas, why not take a minute to post your feedback to Google?
It currently has a few feedback and only you can help me change that.
By providing me with your feedback, you can help revitalize this tea shop and help us continue to good work.
