TEA SPOTLIGHT

There are hundreds of different types of oolong tea. They can be classified in a number of ways:
- by region
- by tea plants
- by shape
- by processing method

Among the four, it is easiest to classify oolong tea according to producing regions:
- Northern Fujian
- Southern Fujian
- Guangdong
- Taiwan

Each region has their own superstars with their own style. Understand this, and you will find it much easier to navigate the oolong tea world.

If you suffer from or are prone to developing kidney stones, you may have a dilemma whether to drink tea.

Kidney stones are mineral deposits made up of calcium, uric acid or the amino acid cysteine.

At least 3 quarters of kidney stones are composed of calcium combined with phosphate or oxalic acid.

Tea is a concern because it is rich in oxalic acid.
