Alert #3: Green Tea 2008 Final Call!
March 19, 2008

19 March 2008 Alert #3:

Hey, just a quick note to say that the Tribute Dragon Well tea in Lion Peak Mountain has started to sprout, and it would be in the next 3 days that full scale harvesting will start in earnest!

It will be roasted in the same day, and shipped to you within 2 days of harvesting.

If you have ordered tea recently, you will receive an email from me in the next 2 days!

(Thanks for the patience!)

For those who are thinking of sampling the best green tea China has to offer, please consider doing so now, for 2 reasons.

First, freshly harvested tea is exceptionally fragrant. Try it and you will see what I mean. By June, you will start to experience a subtle change in favours that make it more well rounded after the mellowing.

Second, there is likely to be a 10% price hike later this spring, as the Chinese Renminbi currency has appreciated by a similar amount since last year.

I was shocked to find out just last week how much things have changed (I have to confess I am a distracted businessman). As it stands, I am actually making losses on some of the teas.

My long held view is that in 10 to 20 years time, Tribute Dragon Well tea will be unaffordable to most Westerners.

It IS that precious. Well take advantage of this special opportunity while it lasts!

And finally, I know it is hard for you to believe, but the prices you are paying now (whether for the King or lower grades) are actually below the wholesale prices many Chinese merchants are paying, courtesy of the special relationship HQ enjoyed with his extended families.

In case you can't find it, the order page is at
