Master Of Tea Room FAQ

Creating your own tea room is fun and easy!

1. How do I get my own room?

Submit the form and I will create the room for you. You will be notified by email when your room is ready.

Click here to fill out the profile form as much as you can or want to.

2. When can I start creating pages in my room?

Once your room is ready, I will contact you with a link.

Click on that link in your email. As the Master of your room, you would have a form to start building pages.

Here is an example of how your room with the form will look like.

3. How long does it take for my room to go live?

It depends on the number of requests I have. Usually 24 hours or less.

4. Can I decorate my own room?

Once your room goes live, you can upload a photo through the form. I will be happy to transfer the photo to your room.

5. Why do I have to give you my email address?

Without your email address, I cannot notify you that your room is ready. That's the only reason.

I promise I won't use your email for any other purposes.

Creating Pages

6. Once I have my room, how do I create pages?

There will be a form in your room. The form is simple and self-explanatory. After you upload a page, you will be notified once it goes live.

Your collection of blog pages will appear beneath the form once they go live.

7. Are there any editorial guidelines to follow?

As the Master of your room, you are free to write whatever pleases you, as long as they are related to tea and relevant to the site.

There is no limit to the frequency or number of pages you can create.

Certain common sense applies, such as basic grammatical and spelling standards.

8. There is a 10,000 character limit per page, but I want more room for my blog. What do I do?

Place the word "Continued" on the bottom of the page, then start another page with the same title but with a page number after it.

Example: "My Tea Story Page 2." That will designate to the reader that there is more to come and will prompt them to look for the next part.

9. Can I delete or change my pages after I upload them?

There is no simple way for you to change existing pages. If you must, message to tell me to delete your pages. Then create another page incorporating the desired changes.

If you think of your blog pages as a diary, then you may find you seldom need to change pages. If you change your opinion later, update your thinking with a new page.

Additional Features

10. What is the comment feature?

For each page you create, an additional form will be available for visitors to give comments, which can turn into a discussion. There is no limit on the number of comments.

11. How about uploading photo?

You can upload one photo per page. This photo must be below 100k.

To add more than one photo, create more pages and add a photo to each page.

There needs to be 25 characters in each page, so please type something in each page to go with each photo, otherwise, I will have to do it for you and I am sure you'd rather have your own say.

12. How do I keep track of other Tea Masters' pages?

If you haven't done so, subscribe to my monthly newsletter or better still, for live update, the site blog.

All newly updated articles in this site will be RSS broadcasted through this feed. You can choose to subscribe to the feed either via a RSS reader or email.

13. Where can I find nice photos in the web?

You can search for photos using Google Image, but usually there are copyright issues.

It is best to use your own photos as they are the most original.
