Sun Tea Jar Ideal for Summer

by Majyk

When the temperature outdoors is steamy hot that is when I get out my sun tea container and let the sun do the work and it keeps my home cool and uses absolutely no energy.

I fill my jar up with distilled water, add plenty of green tea bags and set it all outside in direct sunlight to brew. I don’t really know if it actually taste better this way but when I add it to ice and serve it to our guests they seem to enjoy it.

Since this jar makes up a gallon of tea I find that sitting it on the shelf in the refrigerator gives my family easy access to iced tea; less expensive and better for them than drinking soda pop. If you don’t have your iced tea jar you don’t know what you are missing.
