Lately I've been having awful bouts of gastritis and gerd. I'm wondering if it's because I drink too much tea.

I mix Numi mint pu-erh with Tazo Zen and Bigelow's Plantation Mint.

I drink them teas iced and drink about a gallon of it a day. I am also exhausted by the afternoon which I never used to be...

You need to drink less
by: Julian

Lorraine, this is a not a good sign.

If you feel you are drinking too much, then you should definitely cut back. I would say 3-6 cups a day is reasonable. And if you are suffering from bad symptons, you should consider stop drinking until you feel better.

Lightly oxidized teas could cause stomach problems, it is a known fact. Best to cut back, or drink in-between meals, or switch to higher quality, more potent teas such as those I sell.

Drink less, but drink only highly potent teas is a strategy I follow.
