Green Tea and Weight Gain

I'm on a weight gain program but want to drink at least 2 cups of Green Tea everyday because of its antioxidant benefits. Will my weight gain be hampered?

Answer:

I think the unfortunate answer is yes.

The more antioxidants your green tea contains, the more it is likely to cause weight loss, or slow down weight gain. Not drastic weight loss, but slow and healthy weight loss, the kind that keeps your metabolism up and blocks your fat storage.

It really depends on your objective - how fast you want to weight gain, how much you want to benefits from green tea's healthy properties.

But as a naturally thin person, I can readily say drinking green tea, especially high quality spring harvested green tea with lots of buds, does block weight gain.

I hope this helps.
